Turning a candidate’s ideas into messaging that connects with voters

Services: Media Relations · Brand Reputation  | Industry: Political Campaign

What sets Leah apart is her ability to take ideas and turn them into clear, effective messaging that truly connects with people. … My campaign's outreach, branding, and overall public presence have improved tremendously thanks to her efforts.”

— Matt Tate, Sauk County Sheriff candidate, 2026

The challenge

As a candidate for Sauk County Sheriff, Matt Tate needed a foundation for a public-facing campaign: a clear and differentiating message, a consistent presence online, and a ready response for media and voter inquiries.

What I did

I developed the campaign's full communications strategy, from messaging and public image to digital communications, media relations and reputation management. I wrote all website, video  and social media messaging, developed talking points, and prepared Matt for public forums and media opportunities.

Results

  • Campaign messaging strategy and public-facing image, built from the ground up

  • All website copy and social media messaging

  • Talking points for voters and media and interview preparation

  • Grew Facebook Page to 700 followers in seven months

  • 100+ event attendees at two Sauk County Sheriff forums

  • Local media coverage including:
